understands

January 1, 2013

To tag onto my last blog, “Cry for Help”, Jesus knew His disciples needed to get away and rest.  Yet they were followed by a large crowd that Jesus taught, then fed.  The men alone numbered 5,000.

“As soon as the meal was finished, Jesus insisted that the disciples get in the boat and go on ahead across to Bethsaida while He dismissed the congregation.  After sending them off, He climbed a mountain to pray.” Mark 45-46, The Message

Jesus understands what it’s like to pour yourself into other people, then need to get alone to rest and recharge.  He added one additional, vital step.  He talked to His Father – the real Source of strength.  It’s too cool that we can do the same thing.  I literally feel strength flowing into me each time I tell my Father that I need Him, that I can’t do it alone.  He responds because He understands.
