obscure

March 20, 2013

Elijah was from an obscure village in Gilead, Tishbe. He was a “nobody” that was obedient to God. God used him to become a “somebody”. Stephen M. Miller says in his book Who’s Who and Where’s Where in the Bible that Elijah’s miracles and legacy could give Moses a “run for his money”.

Our incredible God is no respecter of His created people. If He can use a “nobody” to rival by comparison the crowned prince of Egypt who led the entire nation of Israel for forty years (Moses), He can certainly use you or me to get His message out.

Who do you rub shoulders with? Other “obscure” people? People with titles and who wear business suits? The bottom line is: It doesn’t matter. Your obedience to obey what Daddy tells you to do is what matters. Lean, listen, and obey.
