tough time

October 8, 2013

These verses are ministering to me as I face a tough time. Because they are Daddy’s love letter to us, I know they will to you as well.

“Peace I leave with you;
My [own] peace I now give
and bequeath to you.
Not as the world gives
do I give to you.
Do not let* your heart
be troubled,
neither let* it be afraid –
stop allowing* yourselves
to be agitated and disturbed;
and do not permit* yourselves
to be fearful and intimidated
and cowardly and unsettled.” – John 14:27 AMP
*denotes choice

“You will keep in perfect peace
All who trust in You,
All whose thoughts
Are fixed on You!” – Isaiah 26:3 NLT
(entire verse denotes choice on our part)

“Wait and hope for
and expect the Lord;
be brave & of good courage
and let your heart
be stout and enduring.
Yes, wait for and hope for
and expect the Lord.” – Psalm 27:14 (AMP)
entire verse speaks of choice

The name of the Lord
is a strong tower;
the [consistently] righteous man
[upright and in
right standing with God]
*runs into it and is safe,
high [above evil] and strong.” – Proverbs 18:10 (AMP)
*again, this speaks of our choice

“Be careful what you think,
because your thoughts
run your life.” – Proverbs 4:23 (NCV)
we have a choice of what we think

“In conclusion, be strong in the Lord
[be empowered through your union with Him];
draw your strength from Him
[that strength which His boundless might provides].” – Ephesians 6:10 (AMP)
once again we see our choice as the key here
